Nexus Constitutionalism Nexus Constitutionalism is a constitutional theory that places the interdependence of water, energy, and food (WEF) at the center of state organization and legal systems. Traditional constitutional frameworks treat these sectors separately. However, systemic crises reveal that water, energy, and food operate as a unified system. The absence of a constitutional framework capable of addressing this interdependence creates a systemic governance gap. This gap reflects a broader structural problem: constitutional theories often remain at the level of doctrine without being translated into institutional capacity. NJCI addresses this gap by developing institutional mechanisms, methodologies, and educational systems that transform constitutional theory into practice.
